Work t-shirt from neck down and with stripe pattern in MANDARIN PETIT. Beg with the back, work back and forth with turning rows, and cont until underarms. For stripe pattern to match on shoulder seams, knit up sts for fronts alternately with main col and pattern col. Work each side of front separately with turning rows and inc for neckline, join the two fronts to one, and cont until underarms. Join back and front and cont in rnds. Knit up sts for sleeves and for neckband. Work shorts from waist down with stripe pattern in MANDARIN PETIT. Begin to work double waistband for elastic band, or cord as an option. Cont to work turning rows for extra height at back, and inc for gusset at crotch, then divide work and cont each leg separately. The fit of shorts is wide and oversized.
